Jim Raycroft Music

Holding a Master’s degree in voice from the California Institute of the Arts, Jim Raycroft has performed all over North America and in Europe. He has sung for the President of the United States and the Queen of England.

Jim is a current, 38-year member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and sang with the Los Angeles Opera for 12 years. He is also busy in the studios and has appeared in the soundtracks for numerous prestigious movies and recording projects.

He appeared as a singing pirate in the opening scene of Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End, and has also appeared on the Grammys and in numerous TV shows.

Jim is the founder of and performs with:

  • Pacific Swingline, a vocal jazz group
  • The Nickelodeon, a barbershop quartet
  • The Singers Elite Vocal Big Band

In addition, he sang for five years with Disneyland’s barbershop quartet, The Dapper Dans, spent Christmas of 1983 with Disneyland’s Dickens Carolers, has recorded with Roger Wagner Chorale, and has been a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Singers and the Los Angeles Master Chorale Chamber Singers.

Jim is a published arranger and orchestrator and his singer referral service, Singers Elite, has provided vocal entertainment of all kinds to Southern California audiences for more than 25 years.

He is music director at United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks and has prepared choruses for the Santa Monica Symphony.

He also developed a computerized system called OrganMuse that automatically turns pages for organists.
